Polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon or PTFE, F4) is widely known as the “King of Plastics” because of its wide application. Chinese transliteration is called “Teflon”, “Teflon”, “Teflon”, “Teflon”, “Teflon”, “Teflon ” and so on.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a polymer compound synthesized from tetrafluoroethylene. It has excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance (it is one of the best corrosion-resistant materials in the world nowadays. It can resist all other chemicals except molten metal sodium and liquid fluorine. It boils in aqua regia unchanged and is widely used in various needs. It should be resistant to acid, alkali and organic solvents, sealability, high lubrication, non-stickiness, electrical insulation, good aging resistance, and long-term temperature span (can work at + 250 C to – 180 C).
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) itself is not toxic to human beings, but ammonium perfluorooctanate (PFOA), one of the raw materials used in the production process, is considered to have carcinogenic effects.
